The Astra gets hate because it’s right down the middle. Better cars get love because they are better. Worse cars find their niche with a small following finding some dodgy charm or are considered bad but not expected to be anything else. The Astra just…is. I maintain it’s not a bad car but it’s not a good one either.

Power and acceleration felt only after 3rd gear and is quite impressive. Engine power was increased to 162 hp. Very economical fuel consumption when cruising at 100 kmh. (approx 15 km per 1 liter).
